I have used Villandry Contracting for 5 different projects over a 15 year period. Projects have ranged from window installation, deck addition, family room finish work, front entrance portico and lastly a total kitchen/ bathroom remodel. I have 100% confidence in the quality of their work, the professionalism of the employees and the fact that they stand by their work. The project ran on time and continuous once started. Unlike some contractors who disappear once the final payment is receive, Villandry Contracting has always responded to any questions or concerns I have had. Hi Fernando: Thanks for stopping by so quickly last week after our call concerning the Kitchen cabinet. We will contact Mary after the holiday to discuss our next step with her for a possible replacement. We also want to thank you for coming by after the insulation team to re-attach the shutter and clean up what you could of the scraps on the ground. We really appreciate the attention to detail. Lastly, we wanted to let you know that Kerry has been very helpful in fielding questions on the rebates for the windows and facilitating the insulation rebate. Fernando: As you know, my house was in much need of re-staining. Recognizing that there were also issues with water damage and rot, we spoke about having the house sided. We first looked at vinyl, then cedar impressions. After much thought and many discussions with you, we decided to go with a relatively new product - Hardi Plank. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the final product. As with any home project, you experience 'scope creep'. The siding turned into replacing some fascia boards, then gutters....and finally a few windows that had lost the insulating gas. The workmanship of all your crews was exceptional. No shortcuts were taken and as always, the work was done on consecutive days allowing for a relatively short project timeline. We want to thank you for a job well-done, a job that was reasonably priced and most importantly, a job that will not need corrections or re-touches of any kind. M & D DOLAN (ARLINGTON)

Sean's craftsmanship is evident in the wonderful window seat and built in bookcases in the master bedroom, cabinet and drawers in the hall and built in bookcase and drawers in Ian's room. I had read so many horror stories about dealing with contractors, but you and your guys were so professional and responsive that I was pleasantly surprised. I have been composing parts of this letter in my mind since the day your company began work on our third floor renovation. Every step of the way it has been a wonderful experience working with you, Fernando and the rest of the crew. Integrity, craftsmanship, professionalism, thoroughness, service, friendliness you epitomize these traits. I want you to know that your business is nearly unique in these times. Lots of people can raise a roof, put up exterior and interior walls, build a balcony, create a bathroom, install windows and skylights and so on (all tasks completed beautifully on this job!). It is the manner in which your people accomplish this work that is extraordinary! Beginning and completing the job on time, showing up for work every day, keeping the worksite (our still occupied home) neat and orderly, checking in with me, responding immediately to questions, concerns, requests, and taking great care with each step of the process…these are (unfortunately) unusual compliments to pay to a construction crew. We feel very fortunate to have had VCI as our builder. Fernando Carreiro is a remarkable young man. He is, first of all, a very skilled craftsman, taking pride in doing a job thoroughly, carefully and with his full attention on each detail. Several of his on-site suggestions, like the conversion to gas heat and the subsequent removal of the chimneys, made all the difference in the new bedrooms. His sensible advice and willingness to discuss each decision with me made this potentially stressful construction phase an actual pleasure. Fernando's professionalism is also noteworthy. His years of experience have developed his insight into all sorts of decisions, from design to construction. He always communicated with me in a helpful and respectful way, offering advice and listening to my ideas and desires. I also observed his interactions with the rest of his crew and with all of the subcontractors and he treated them in the same way. You are indeed lucky to have this talented and loyal man with your company. I have never met anyone who spoke of their construction company and the people that are the construction company with the warmth and gratitude that I feel toward you, Dave, and Fernando and the crew. We feel very blessed to have this beautiful new addition to our home and to have enjoyed our relationship with all of you so thoroughly. You and Fernando have been thoughtful, kind and friendly, especially to our six-year-old daughter, and for this we also thank you. Your personal attention to our project, from going over the 12-page contract with me, line by line, four (or five?) times, through your late night trip to our house when the heat shut down are ample evidence of your integrity and caring. Please do give our names to prospective customers so that we have the opportunity to rave about the quality of VCI's work and the quality of the human beings and relationships behind the work.
